It is simple to draw comparisons between Australia’s Sarah Blasko and the general lineup of quirky female singer-songwriters. There are hints of both Feist and Regina Spektor in Blasko’s voice—the breathy delivery, the soft timbre—but there are also more unsettling elements on As Day Follows Night.
