Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick, D-Ariz., declared Wednesday that they will get treatment for liquor addiction after they was genuinely harmed in a fall they said was the consequence of their condition.
Kirkpatrick was allowed a time away on Jan. 10 for a health related crisis, as per the Congressional Record, however didn’t report until Wednesday what the health related crisis was or its motivation.
“I am ready to admit that I, like countless other Americans, suffer from this disease,” they said in an announcement. “Hard work and determination – which have brought me success in life – have not been enough to win this battle.”
Kirkpatrick composed that they had recently made some troublesome memories looking for help, yet was “finally” doing as such.
The congresswoman, who ran against the late Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., in 2016, didn’t give a course of events to when she would come back to their obligations yet said their office would stay open and that they would have the option to completely recoup with active recuperation.
Kirkpatrick speaks to Arizona’s second Congressional District, which they won with 55 percent of the vote in 2018.
