The U.S. Armed force needs Americans to realize they have not been chosen for a military draft regardless of a rash of writings that erroneously advises individuals they’re making a beeline for battle a war against Iran.

The admonition comes in the midst of raising strains with Iran. A week ago, the U.S. propelled an automaton strike that murdered top Iranian military pioneer, Gen. Qassem Soleimani, and in reprisal, Tehran propelled in excess of twelve rockets at two army installations in Iraq on Tuesday.

“U.S. Army Recruiting Command has received multiple calls and emails about these fake text messages and wants to ensure Americans understand these texts are false and were not initiated by this command or the U.S. Army,” authorities said in an announcement on Wednesday.

The notification explained that the choice to sanction a draft isn’t made at or by U.S. Armed force Recruiting Command. It is made by the Selective Service System, a different organization outside of the Department of Defense.

A screen capture of one of the messages claims Army authorities have reached the person.

“We’ve tried contacting you through the mail several times and have had no response. You’ve been marked eligible and must come to the nearest branch in Jacksonville, Florida, for immediate departure to Iran,” the content says.

It additionally compromises that the beneficiary will “be fined and sent to prison for least 6 years if no answer.”

A second form of the message states, “You’ve been checked qualified and should go to the closest branch in New Jersey Area for prompt flight to Iran.” It additionally educates the beneficiary to contact authorities right away.

There doesn’t appear to be a specific segment that is being focused by the messages.

“It does seem pretty random,” Lisa Ferguson, media relations boss for U.S. Armed force Recruiting Command, told NPR.

“I spoke with a mom on Monday whose 14-year-old daughter had received the text and her friends had also received a text,” Ferguson said.

“We have no way of knowing, you know, why people are getting them or who’s being sent the text,” they included.

The draft has not been held since 1973 and the military has been an all-volunteer power from that point forward.

For the present, Ferguson stated, Army enrolling activities are continuing as expected.
